What can I expect at a Sunday Service?

Firstly, you’ll discover a friendly and welcoming church. You’ll be greeted at the door and you’re welcome to ask any questions you might have.

At 10am we will begin with announcements from the front, followed by a couple of songs focusing on Jesus. Then one of the church members will lead us in a time of prayer; you’re welcome to listen along or pray in your mind.

There will be a Bible reading, and then a 40 minute message where the Pastor will explain what the reading means and how it applies it our lives today.

The “Lord’s supper/Communion” which remembers Christ’s death on the cross is celebrated after this. Anyone who currently trusts Jesus as their personal Saviour, and has been baptised by immersion as a sign of that faith, is welcome to take part.

We finish up with a couple more songs and then time to enjoy each other’s company. You’ll find people of all ages catching up, praying together and sharing a cuppa.

Are my children welcome to join in?

Yes! We run an all-ages inclusive church service. Children will have the opportunity to worship with their parents or caretakers, listen to the Bible reading and sermon, and engage in our time as a community.

We have a short “Kids Spot” before the Bible reading to help orient your kids for what they’re about to hear. We also provide a “big question” for kids to think about as they listen to the sermon. Parents at our church find it gives them an easy way to talk with their kids about what they heard.

If your kids find it hard to sit still or are pre-school age, there are a few options for giving them room to play while still listening to the sermon: a play space at the back of the chapel, or a Kid’s Room with toys and a livestream of the message. We also have a comfortable Nursing Mother’s Room, which also livestreams the whole service.

What should I wear?

You can leave your suit and tie at home. We are a come-as-you-are, casual dress church, so just wear whatever is comfortable!
